The beauty of Italy at home in America.

The roots of Italian design date back to 14th Century Florence - the cradle of the Renaissance. However, it was during the postwar years of the 20th Century that a combination of Italian style and Hollywood glamour propelled Italy onto the world’s stage, cementing its reputation for fashion and design leadership. The second half of the 20th Century brought with it a proliferation of Italian-American partnerships in the automotive, film and fashion industries. This era, particularly the years between 1965 and 1995, served as an important point of inspiration for the founding of Casa Ispirata.

Ours is a style that is informed by a combination of the brash confidence and energy of American design and the restrained sophistication and austerity of modern Italian design. We strive to imbue each design with a graceful sense of refinement that references both the beauty of Italian minimalism and the scale and comfort of American architecture and design. There is an ever-present emphasis on luxuriant colors and textures, along with wood and material finishes that are replete with warmth, depth and richness but never ostentation. Above all else, we believe the home should be a sanctuary. And, with each design, our goal is to create a finished piece that eschews pretense and formality in favor of a rakish spirit of casual elegance that deftly walks the line between beautiful and handsome.
